A family shop that happens to sit on a tourist highway.
We opened in 2005 with one counter of daily needs for Kandaghat. The town still shops here every morning. What changed is who else stops — Delhi number plates, Punjab number plates, taxis on their way to Shimla and Chail, all looking for the same four things.
2005
One counter, daily needs
Grocery, soap, school stationery. Cloth was two shelves at the back, mostly school socks and sweaters.
2011
Siyaram, for the wedding season
Suiting and shirting by the suit length. Half of Kandaghat's wedding clothes have started here since.
2016
Authorised for Jockey — the top floor opens
Full size range, sealed packets, a trial room, and thermals stocked deep from October. The floor below became the general store it still is.
Today
Half the counter is people passing through
Tourists, taxi drivers, families on their way up. They find us by accident, then plan the stop in on the way back. This site is so the accident is not necessary.
How we run it
- Genuine stock only, straight from the company distributor. Bill for everything, GST included.
- Printed price. No tourist rate, no bargaining theatre.
- If your size is not there, we say so instead of selling you the next one up.
- Card, UPI and cash. Open all seven days.
